Pricing FAQ

## Before you pick a plan

What counts as a mention?

The counter you see is gated mentions: posts that pass our AI relevance gate. Raw ingest stays internal for cost control, so noise filtered out does not burn your allowance the way pre-filter quotas do elsewhere.

What happens if I hit my limit mid-month?

We alert you as you approach your allowance, then pause new collection unless you turn on Flex: $3 per 1,000 mentions past the pool and $10 per 1,000 X mentions past the X sub-cap, up to a monthly ceiling you set. Flex is available on monthly plans; on annual plans collection pauses at the allowance. We never bill overage without an opt-in. Runs already in flight can finish, so usage may land slightly past the limit.

Why is there an X sub-cap?

Official X reads cost about $5 per 1,000 posts. Mentions are pooled across surfaces, so without a 15% X sub-cap a single-surface watch could burn the whole plan on one expensive ear. Other surfaces keep using the remaining pool.

Do you lock me into an annual contract?

No. Plans are monthly by default. Annual prepay saves 10% and still cancels cleanly. It is not a Meltwater-style lock-in.

Are Brand Protection and Revenue Signals billed separately?

Yes. Each module is its own plan with its own allowance, X sub-cap and Flex setting. New workspaces get a 14-day trial at Starter limits for the module they choose.

Which plan should I choose?

Growth if you need broader supported-surface coverage with a lean team. Pro if impersonation protection should be included. Agency if you run multiple client brands and need separate client workspaces (white-label is coming soon). Enterprise when residency, SSO, or written surface scope is required.

# Share of voice calculator

Share of voice (SOV) is your brand's share of all conversation in your category: your mentions divided by the total mentions of you and your competitors, times 100\. If your brand had 1,200 mentions last month and two competitors had 2,800 between them, your share of voice is 1,200 ÷ 4,000 = 30%. Enter your counts below for an instant result, with optional engagement and sentiment weighting. No signup, and nothing leaves your browser.

Definition

## What is share of voice?

Share of voice measures how much of the conversation in your market is about you rather than your competitors. It started in advertising as your share of total ad spend or impressions. Today it usually means share of earned attention: mentions in social media, news, forums and reviews. It's a relative measure, so it only makes sense against a defined set of competitors, channels and dates.

Formula

## How do you calculate share of voice?

**Share of voice = your mentions ÷ total mentions of all tracked brands × 100.** Three variants are common, and the calculator does all three:

- **Mention SOV:** 1,200 of 4,000 mentions = 30%.
- **Engagement-weighted SOV:** your likes, comments and shares ÷ total engagement. A brand with fewer mentions but more engaged audiences can lead here.
- **Positive SOV:** your positive mentions ÷ all positive mentions. It shows share of favourable attention, which matters more than raw volume during a crisis.

Benchmarks

## What is a good share of voice?

There is no universal target. Compare share of voice with your share of market. A long-standing rule of thumb from advertising research is that brands whose share of voice exceeds their share of market tend to grow, and brands below it tend to shrink. For earned media, track the trend month over month against the same competitors and channels. A rising share matters more than any single number.

Data quality

## Why does my share of voice look wrong?

Usually the inputs, not the formula. The most common causes:

- **Noise:**keyword matches that aren't about the brand (a brand name that is also a common word), syndicated copies of one article, and press releases counted as coverage.
- **Missed coverage:**a tool that doesn't see a channel, market or language will under-count the brands that are strong there.
- **Mismatched inputs:** different date ranges, channels or query strictness for different brands.

Fix the inputs first: use one query style per brand, the same channels and dates, and de-duplicate syndicated items before you calculate.

By channel

## How do you measure share of voice on social media vs news?

Calculate each channel separately before combining them. Social volume is usually far larger than news volume, so a blended number hides what's happening in the press. Report social SOV, news SOV and, if you need one figure, a weighted blend where you choose the weights deliberately rather than letting raw volume decide.

Automate it

## Track share of voice every week without the spreadsheet

Sentinely tracks your brand and competitors across social media, news, forums and the web. An AI relevance gate filters out mentions that aren't really about the brand before they're counted, which is the noise that usually distorts share of voice. Plans are billed monthly with no annual contract.

Privacy notice

# Measured, not exposed.

This notice explains how Sentinely handles service data and the strict boundaries around product telemetry. Last updated 8 September 2026.

## What we process

We process account and workspace information needed to provide Sentinely, along with public-source material that customers ask the service to monitor.

We also process limited product-usage and operational metadata—such as a templated page or API route, event outcome, coarse duration, provider, and service health—to operate, secure, and improve the product.

## Analytics boundaries

Sentinely uses Google Analytics, PostHog, and Mixpanel for product and service measurement. Analytics events use random or one-way pseudonymous identifiers and an explicit, low-cardinality event vocabulary.

We do not intentionally send monitored evidence, customer search terms, prompts, message bodies, email addresses, API credentials, form contents, or raw tenant identifiers to these analytics providers. Automatic form capture, site-search capture, and session replay are not part of this implementation.

## Why and where

We use this information to deliver the service, detect faults and abuse, understand adoption, improve reliability, and support customer requests. Our providers may process pseudonymous analytics data in the United States or European Union under their applicable data-processing terms.

## Retention and control

We retain information only as long as needed for the service, security, legal, and operational purposes described here. Retention varies by data class and workspace configuration.

You can ask about access, correction, deletion, or other applicable privacy rights by contacting hello@aeygroup.co. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where law or security obligations require it.

Terms of use

# Use Sentinely responsibly.

Last updated: September 8, 2026

## 1\. Service and accounts

Sentinely is a brand-threat monitoring and evidence workspace operated by Aeygroup. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, the people you invite, and the credentials used to access your workspace.

## 2\. Public-source boundaries

Sentinely processes publicly available signals and provider data according to the configured source permissions. Coverage, freshness, and availability vary by source. A signal, score, or recommendation is an aid to human review, not a finding of fact or a substitute for professional, legal, or emergency advice.

## 3\. Responsible use

Do not use Sentinely to harass, surveil private individuals, bypass access controls, violate a platform’s terms, or make automated decisions about a person’s eligibility, safety, or rights. You must have a lawful basis and appropriate authorization for the brands, accounts, and data you monitor.

## 4\. Evidence and decisions

You remain responsible for reviewing evidence, confirming classifications, and deciding whether or how to contact a platform, customer, regulator, or law-enforcement authority. Preserve and share evidence only with people who are authorized to receive it.

## 5\. Changes and contact

We may update the pilot service and these operating terms as the product develops. We will publish the current version here. Questions about these terms can be sent to [hello@aeygroup.co](mailto:hello@aeygroup.co).

These pilot terms are a product communication and should receive legal review before a broader commercial launch.

# Brand Impersonation Monitoring: A Practical Guide

By Sentinely Research · Reviewed by Sentinely Editorial · Updated 2026-07-24

Brand impersonation monitoring is the continuous process of finding public accounts, pages, apps, and domains that may be pretending to represent an organization. A credible program does more than match names: it compares identity signals with an official allowlist, evaluates likely public harm, preserves what was observed, and gives a human reviewer enough evidence to decide what happens next.

## What should a brand impersonation program monitor?

Start with the identities customers use to decide whether something is official: account names, handles, profile images, logos, domains, app-store publishers, and verified partner relationships. Record legitimate regional pages and campaign partners before collection begins. This allowlist is as important as the detection list because false accusations create their own reputational and legal risk.

Monitor public social profiles, promoted posts, app listings, search results, and lookalike domains together. Abuse often crosses surfaces: a fake account promotes a copied website, which links to a payment request or credential form.

## How should suspected impersonation be verified?

Require several independent signals. A similar handle alone is weak evidence. Copied brand assets, claims of official status, customer-directed calls to action, newly registered infrastructure, or requests for money materially strengthen the case.

Keep the model rationale visible, but treat it as an analyst aid rather than the final decision. Same-shaped cases should receive consistent labels, official accounts should never surface, and uncertain cases should remain unconfirmed.

## What evidence should the case contain?

Capture the visible account or page, canonical URL, first-seen time, retrieval time, platform metadata, linked destinations, and the protected asset being misused. Store a content hash and the original payload reference so the record can later show what was captured and whether it changed.

## What happens after confirmation?

Prepare a standardized recommendation naming the threat, evidence, platform reporting route, and suggested recipient. The monitoring system should document and route the recommendation, not silently execute enforcement. Track detection, documentation, escalation, and reported resolution as separate events.

# Brand Protection Operations for PR and Reputation Agencies

By Sentinely Research · Reviewed by Sentinely Editorial · Updated 2026-07-24

Agency brand protection works when every client has a clear watch definition, review standard, escalation path, and reporting cadence. The goal is not to deliver the largest mention feed. It is to help account teams identify material threats early and show clients what was found, verified, and recommended.

## How should an agency structure client workspaces?

Separate client identities, protected assets, allowlists, users, and reporting. Pooling collection can improve economics, but access and evidence must remain tenant-safe. Define who can confirm cases, approve recommendations, and view sensitive evidence.

## What should happen during onboarding?

Document official names, handles, domains, apps, visual assets, partners, regional pages, and known abuse patterns. Agree on severity thresholds and recipients before the first urgent case. A fifteen-minute configuration that omits legitimate partners will create avoidable false positives later.

## How should analysts prioritize their day?

Start with high-harm and fast-moving cases, not chronological mention volume. Review the model reason, source, identity evidence, reach, and requested customer action. Dismissals should feed consistency checks so the same-shaped case is treated the same way across clients.

## What should clients receive?

Send concise case briefs and periodic protection reports. Include confirmed cases, evidence completeness, detection-to-recommendation time, escalation state, surface health, and unresolved dependencies. Avoid vanity charts that do not change a decision.

# How to Detect Fake Social Media Accounts Using Your Brand

By Sentinely Research · Reviewed by Sentinely Editorial · Updated 2026-07-24

Detecting a fake social account requires evidence that the account is creating a false relationship with the brand. Name similarity is only a discovery signal. Analysts should assess identity claims, copied assets, linked infrastructure, behavior, and the harm a reasonable customer could experience.

## Which account signals matter most?

Compare the handle, display name, biography, profile image, verification state, creation date, and linked domain with official references. Look for substitutions, added support terms, regional suffixes, and copied campaign language. A new account using official artwork and directing customers to an unrelated domain deserves more attention than a fan account clearly labeled unofficial.

## Which behavior indicates likely abuse?

High-risk behavior includes prize claims, urgent support messages, direct payment instructions, credential requests, and replies inserted beneath legitimate customer questions. Repeated messages across several accounts can indicate a coordinated network rather than independent discussion.

## How do teams avoid false positives?

Maintain an allowlist of official, employee, franchise, campaign, and approved partner accounts. Preserve satire, criticism, news reporting, and benign brand discussion as non-abuse unless they make a misleading identity claim. When context is insufficient, hold the case for review instead of forcing a high-confidence label.

## How should analysts document a fake account?

Capture the profile and representative posts, record the canonical URL and timestamps, save linked pages, and note exactly which identity element is misleading. The case rationale should explain the customer harm in plain language.

# Digital Evidence Integrity for Brand-Threat Cases

By Sentinely Research · Reviewed by Sentinely Editorial · Updated 2026-07-24

Digital evidence integrity means being able to explain what was observed, where it came from, when it was captured, and whether the stored record changed. For brand-threat teams, integrity turns an alert into a record that communications, platform trust teams, counsel, or regulators can evaluate.

## What belongs in an evidence-ready case?

Preserve a visual capture, canonical source URL, source metadata, retrieval timestamp, original payload reference, and content hash. Record the protected name or asset involved and connect any linked accounts, apps, or domains. A screenshot without provenance is useful context, but it is not a complete record.

## Why are timestamps and hashes important?

Public content changes quickly. A retrieval timestamp establishes when the team observed the material. A cryptographic hash helps demonstrate whether the stored payload remained unchanged after capture. Neither proves every fact about authorship, but together they improve the reliability and auditability of the record.

## How should human decisions be recorded?

Store who confirmed or dismissed the classification, the reason, and every case-state transition. Documentation, escalation, and resolution should be distinct events. If an outside platform removes content, record the reported outcome without rewriting history as though Sentinely performed the removal.

## How much data should teams retain?

Retention should follow lawful purpose, sensitivity, and organizational policy. Preserve what the case requires, minimize unrelated personal data, and document access controls and deletion rules. Regulated deployments should align retention and residency with the governing agreement.

# Building an Early Crisis Detection Workflow

By Sentinely Research · Reviewed by Sentinely Editorial · Updated 2026-07-24

Early crisis detection identifies a material change in public risk while the situation is still containable. Reliable workflows combine volume changes with severity, source quality, repetition, and likely harm. A spike alone is not a crisis, and a low-volume fraud claim can still require immediate action.

## What baseline should teams establish?

Measure expected activity by topic, surface, market, and time period. Note predictable campaign peaks and recurring customer-service patterns. Baselines let teams distinguish an unusual change from ordinary seasonality.

## Which changes should trigger review?

Review sudden velocity, a shift toward harmful intent, repeated claims across unrelated sources, high-reach amplification, or movement from discussion into payment and credential requests. Surface health must remain visible so a quiet feed is not mistaken for a quiet market.

## What should an early-warning alert contain?

Include the changed metric, representative evidence, source cluster, likely harm, confidence, and why the threshold was crossed. The recipient should be able to verify the event without opening five disconnected dashboards.

## When should a case escalate?

Define thresholds by consequence, not just reach. Fraud, public-safety misinformation, and credible impersonation can justify fast escalation at lower volume. Keep a human approval step and record who received the recommendation.

# Multilingual Social Listening for African Markets

By Sentinely Research · Reviewed by Sentinely Editorial · Updated 2026-07-24

Multilingual social listening should preserve local meaning while producing consistent operational decisions. African markets often combine formal languages, regional languages, code-switching, transliteration, slang, and platform-specific conventions in the same conversation. Translating everything into generic English before classification can erase the signal.

## How should teams define a multilingual watch?

Collect official names, colloquial names, common misspellings, campaign phrases, scam terminology, and regional product references with local reviewers. Include the surfaces used in each market rather than assuming the same platform mix everywhere.

## Why should original text remain attached?

Analysts need to inspect tone, ambiguity, and cultural context. Store the original text beside any translation and classification. The system should explain which phrase or identity signal influenced the decision and allow local reviewers to correct it.

## How can teams evaluate quality?

Measure precision and recall by language and threat type, not only as a global average. A system can appear accurate while failing on a smaller language group. Use strict labels: official accounts and benign discussion are not abuse, and uncertain examples should not contaminate the evaluation set.

## What does responsible regional coverage require?

Be transparent about unavailable surfaces, collection method, retention, and data residency. Minimize unrelated personal data and define the lawful purpose for monitoring public content. Regional expertise is an operating capability, not a translation toggle.
